BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

1. Brochure and Accuracy

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that all advertising material is accurate at the time of publication, we cannot be held responsible for changes or matters outside our control.  All information is given in good faith but no warranties are made regarding information provided, either written or oral.

 

2. Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made by E-mail or post and will be confirmed within 7 days from receipt of  the Booking and payment of the Security Deposit of £200 (This payment is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled less than two weeks before the arrival date unless the property is successfully re-let. We shall try our utmost to do this) or, if you are booking less than eight weeks before departure, the full fee is required.

 

The client agrees to pay all costs in case of damage or loss to the property, or to its contents during their stay limited to damage or loss caused by or as a result of their tenure. The cost is payable to the owners, within 4 weeks of the clients stay based on an estimate supplied to the Client to resolve any damage. This will be taken from the Security deposit and any further costs will be billed to the client.

 

Under no circumstances can the prescribed number of persons per booking form be exceeded.  Under any circumstances the full payment becomes due two weeks before your holiday date.  Payment of the deposit and remainder of the rental amount to be made via Paypal. Please make payments to courdelolivier@gmail.com in Paypal. If the full amount plus the security deposit is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

 

3. Prices

Prices are per week in season or per day when agreed out of season and are inclusive of electricity (an excess of 50 units per week will be chargeable per unit), gas, water and the provision of bed linen and towels but does not include towels for use outside the Gite e.g for beach or lake swimming.  Please bring your own towels for this otherwise  a charge will be made.

 

4. Cancellation

It is recommended that you take out insurance to protect the risk of cancellation from the time of booking and for medical, baggage cover etc. whilst abroad.  Should the Gite be unavailable on the day stated, due to unforeseen circumstances, every attempt will be made to relocate guests.  If this is not possible, all booking fees (paid to Courdelolivier) will be refunded without question but no further liability will fall upon the owners.

 

5. Your responsibilities

The property will be cleaned before your arrival and we respectfully ask you to remember that you are staying in someone else's home and to leave it clean and tidy when you depart. If extra cleaning is required a minimum charge of £50 will be levied. Please report any breakages to the owners as soon as possible  in order that it can be rectified before the following clients arrive.

 

We are obliged to inform you that you  reside in the premises only as a temporary residence and may not engage in any commercial, illegal, nuisance, dangerous or other activity that could embarrass the owners or cause complaints from neighbours or legal repercussions.

 

 Please do not arrive at the property before 4.00 p.m. and kindly leave by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure (otherwise you could be charged extra rental) in order to give enough time between clients to ensure that the property is ready.  If you expect to arrive after 7.00 p.m. please let us know. Please contact us to discuss arrival/departure times if this is not possible, we will accomodate some changes if we can.

 

6. Complaints

In the event of any complaint arising, either on arrival or after occupation has commenced, this should be brought to the attention of the owners immediately so that remedial action, where necessary, can be taken without delay.  We will do everything possible to deal with any difficulties both quickly and effectively.  The owners retain the right to enter the property at any reasonable time to deal with any complaints and to carry out any repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment. Any complaint after departure must be in writing within 14 days of your departure.

 

7. General

Whilst every possible effort will be made to maintain the household equipment in good order for the enjoyment of our guests we cannot accept liability in the event of any unforeseen calamity but would ask you to bear with us whilst we attempt to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

 

these include but are not limited to -

 

· Any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or service in the property.

 

· Any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property is destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in such event, the owner shall, within seven days of notification to the client, refund all sums previously paid for the rental.

 

· Any loss, damage or injury suffered by the client, their party, their vehicles or personal possessions whilst on the property.

 

 We accept smokers but would require that you only smoke outside. If the apartment needs to be fumigated due to smoke a minimum charge of £50 will be levied.

 

In no circumstances shall the owner's liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owner for the rental period. The client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party's personal belongings, public liability, accident etc., since these are not covered by the owner's insurance.

 

We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.

 

Car parking allocated is at owners risk.

 

These conditions are governed by English law.
